The GSM module is a GSM terminal for transmitting data, faxes and SMS (short message
service) text messages in GSM networks (GSM = global system for mobile communication).
The GSM Module M1 comprises the following components:
? GSM transceiver;
? Data and power supply unit;
? Serial interface (V.24) for data transmission and control;
? Manufacturer-specific interface for DC power supply, external antenna and audio
signals.
When the GSM Module M1 is registered in the network, it serves as a standard modem
for fax and data transmission for a computer connected to the V.24 interface. Special
AT+C commands as per GSM 07.07 or GSM 07.05 for controlling GSM-related
functions (PIN entry, network selection,……
